Josh & Ashley; Maternity on Gibbet Hill

I’ve known Ashely since she was a little girl. Her cousin Sarah is one of my best friends who I’ve known for 20 plus years now. I photographed Josh proposing to Ashley hiding in a sand dune with endangered birds, I was their wedding photographer as well and now, I am soooo thankful we could squeeze in this maternity session for them before we had an official stay at home order. Ashley is a school nurse and Josh is a police officer, they both give so much to the communities they serve. The week we did the session their baby shower was cancelled, Ashley was told that her Mother would not be able to be with her during labor and delivery, and they were also not allowed to have any guests at the hospital. Obviously this was not how they imagined the birth of their first baby but, during this time of uncertainty, they are leaning on each other and holding onto the fact that as long as they have a healthy baby boy, everything else will come with time. Ashley was glowing and they were both the picture of strength. They are both going to be amazing parents and I can’t wait to see the out of this world celebration this family will have when this baby boy makes his debut! Ashley and Josh, stay healthy, stay strong, my heart is with you <3 I can’t wait to meet your little man!
