Talia and family

Welcome to the world Miss Talia! I had a lot of fun hanging out with this family at home for their newborn session. While shooting and editing this newborn session I was reminded that not everything with babies goes as planned, and I'm ok with that... in fact I like it even more that way! The sessions take a while because new babies want to eat (like all the time), they need to be changed (aprox 19 times while I'm there) and they aren't always sleeping (surprise, they don't sleep allll day long). I love real sessions. Babies cry, siblings are craving that little bit of attention these days so they are a little more willing to get in the frame and mom and dad are usually tired from newborn life. But this is real. Not everyone understands that method of photography when it comes to newborns and that's ok! Being a mom of 3 and knowing I won't have any more of those real newborn moments, I crave to tell that story. These are the days we never want to forget. The little hands, the soft baby skin, the wrinkles in their faces. Time goes by so fast, the great thing about photos is it allows us to look back on these moments and hold on to them forever.
